QDV is amazingly compatible with MS Excel when importing data or exporting results. Using QDV, you can edit some parts of your estimate in Excel, carry out changes and ensure those changes are returned to the QDV platform…all with a few, simple clicks.
This allows you to embed existing Excel workbooks and automate them in a matter of minutes. These could be Configurators, Bill of Quantities, Reports, Databases, Bill of Materials, etc.
QDV creates complex documents including technical specifications, tendering documents and reports among others all in MS Word. It can merge documents from databases or from estimates into a master document using easy-to-create rules. Unlike MS Word, QDV doesn’t use the VBA-bases Word API. Instead, it manipulates the XML code of DOCX documents which results in an amazingly fast process when creating such documents.
Any administrator can easily provide a template document and then implement it by clicking a simple menu. Within a few seconds the estimate can be presented with a set of rules embedded in the Word template.
QDV is fully compatible with Microsoft Excel and comes with a convertor which allows you to convert any Excel workbook to estimates, databases of articles or databases of sets.
Additionally, when you convert an estimate, and want to move your output to the customer’s workbook, the convertor automatically links your estimate to the workbook.
